Old school, traditionally made American-Chinese comfort food this truly is...our crispy, griddled chicken thighs glazed with a zesty homemade lemon sauce is a family favorite that's all about big comfort and bright flavor. Inspired by Dad’s own recipe, it strikes the perfect balance between sweet, sour, and savory. Served with rice and broccoli, it’s a weeknight dinner that always feels like a weekend treat.

Directions
DO THIS
Mix all ingredients (except oil and sauce items) together, marinate 10 minutes.
Heat 1 tablespoon oil in heavy bottom skillet on medium. Gently place 1-2 chicken thighs in skillet, making sure it is flat. Let pan fry undisturbed, 3-4 minutes. Carefully flip thighs and pan fry another 3-4 minutes or until cooked through. Repeat for remaining pieces. Let rest on a warm plate.
Mix sauce ingredients together in a saucepan and gently bring to a simmer until sauce slightly thickens - stirring entire time. Add a pinch of lemon zest to sauce at end.
Serve chicken sliced with a drizzle of the lemon sauce.
Recipe Note
- Marinate an extra batch of chicken and freeze it to griddle later!
